Reflections on CPD

April 1, 2009 § Leave a comment

Although I have taken part in CPD and lead CPD ecently, its always seems to me that its the opportunity to meet of like minded people and talk that has the most impact. Teachmeet enthusiasts such as Tom Barrett only further support this view. PS Tom is organising / hosting Teachmeet Midlands on the 15th May at the NCSL in Nottingham.

The final part of this post come from an online colleague Kim Cofino. We have spoken over VOIP, exchange articles via RSS but never actually met. In a recent referral from Kim I read

The Maoris  have a saying:

He aha te mea nui? He tangata, He tangata, He tangata.

What is the most important thing? It is people, it is people, it is people.

I think they have a point.
