Reflections from Space

January 23, 2009 § Leave a comment

Whilst still teaching at Tauntons College I stumble upon global-mindshift.org. In particular I remember watching a short presentation entitled Reflections from Space. For some reason that presentation struck a cord, or rather one short quote,

The first day or so we all pointed to our countries. The third or fourth day we were pointing to our continents. By the fifth day we were aware of only one Earth. Sultan Bin Salman al-Saud

On a number of occasions I thought about sharing that presentation. I trawled almost all every the media site, numerous searches, combinations of astronauts, community sites, but sadly the site evaded me, I just could recall the website address. Well only just recently, in December 2008, it popped up on Youtube following GMS meeting with Google. So here is my chance to share it will other educator, students and learners.

If you liked Reflections from Space then also look out Carl Saga’s Pale Blue Dot too.
