Digital Leaders 2010

Last year we introduced Digital Leaders. This is with question, my most favourite teaching innovation of 2008-9. Based on the GEN Yes concept of students working with teaching staff, we conceived the Digital Leader positions to include;
- extra-curricular ICT
- the development of students – teacher training opportunities
- students leadership / voice in ICT and ICTAC
It extended to include digital journalism and the real time coverage of 3 conferences, IT testing (both software and hardware) and curriculum development.
This year, with the generous sponsorship of Lenovo, the position includes the use of an S102 Lenovo netbook for 1 year. The advert was posted on the school website on Wednesday this week and I have already received 9 creative ICT applications that include digital artwork, website applications, video applications and webware creations.
